WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: The female fin, which was 6.2m (20ft) in length, was reported stranded yesterday morning at 7am in the shallows at Pentewan Sands near Mevagissey.
Rescue dog Jake ran out of his owner's home in Mevagissey, Cornwall, on August 9 and was discovered almost a week later at coastal beauty spot, The Dodman, more than four miles away.
Although police have not formally identified him, they have told the family of 75-year-old David Sycamore, a well-known sailor from Mevagissey, that the remains may be his.
