Ten people go on trial for cyber-harassment of Brigitte Macron: Group faces two years in jail 'for claiming she is a man and comparing her age-gap relationship to paedophilia'

The trial comes after she and Macron filed a defamation lawsuit in the U.S at the end of July, in connection with a rumour repeated online that Brigitte Macron was assigned male at birth.
